New Look Gorebridge Store

Scotmid Co-operative’s new-look Hunterfield store reopened its doors on Friday (5th May) with one lucky customer winning a television.

The community convenience store, situated on Hunterfield Road in Gorebridge, underwent a complete transformation with the emphasis on introducing increased fresh food, a food-to-go area, the installation of a Costa Express coffee machine and other progressive changes.

When the doors reopened, the first 50 customers were all rewarded with shopping bags filled with daily essential groceries.

Plus they also received envelopes containing golden tickets that entitled lucky recipients to unforgettable gifts.

Local and regular customer Louise Morris won a 40-inch television while another customer Lesley won an iPad Mini.

Over the past 12 months, Scotmid Co-operative have donated over £3,500 to 42 local community groups in Midlothian through the Community Grant Scheme.

Community groups in the county, who have benefitted include St Andrew’s Primary School, Gorebridge and District Environmental Group, Gorebridge Gala Day plus many others.
