Scotmid Membership - Become Part of Something Bigger

Membership is absolutely key to a co-operative such as Scotmid. It's what makes us different. This Society is owned and democratically controlled by its members and every member has an opportunity to play their part.

The importance of membership to the Society is reflected in the creation of our new membership strategy, which was launched two years ago. Phase one of the strategy was rolled out on a pilot basis to enable us to begin the process of being able to properly communicate with members. This was followed by phase two and then the rollout of our new membership brand in the middle of 2009.

As part of our communication with members we launched Jigsaw magazine at the end of 2007. It is published twice a year and contains information about the Society as well as celebrity interviews, recipes and competitions. As part of one issue we carried out the largest ever survey of our members to find out more information on who our members are and what they want from their membership of the Society.
