Keep Your Purse Safe
West06 July, 2010Staff at the High Street, Bonnybridge store and Post Office have helped customers keep their money safe by handing out purse bells on pension day.
Central Police approached the society to work in partnership on this initiative, which highlights the threat of pickpockets, particularly to elderly people, who my be more likely to be targeted.
The bells are designed to be attached to a purse or wallet and alert the owner to potential thiefs. Staff were joined by two community wardens to distribute 500 bells.
