CETS - Co-operative Education Trust Scotland

CETS Logo

Scotmid has two representatives on the Board of CETS and this year, 2009-2010, will provide £20,000 of funding.

We also provide extensive in-kind support though graphic design and printing of the education resource packs.

The main source of income is the Co-operative Fund which is operated by the Co-op Group in Manchester. However the support that Scotmid provides is local and invaluable to this organisation.

CETS is a charitable education trust dedicated to the promotion of co-operation and co-operative enterprise. It carries this out through a programme of education within schools across Scotland.

CETS operates a unique service to schools in Scotland called Co-operate to Succeed (CtS). CtS works with the Determined to Succeed strategy of the Scottish Government to bring the unique attributes of a co-operative approach to enterprise in education.

CETS provides a wide range of resources and support for those interested in exploring the benefits of adopting the co-operative approach for use in schools-based education
