We offer fantastic learning opportunities at all levels to assist in your progress. We believe in a blended learning style, where you will receive on the job training, as well as computer based training, in a supportive environment.
We understand that in order for you to be confident in your job role you may require support and training. This is why we offer full training in all aspects of your job to ensure that you have the confidence and skills to deliver a first class performance.
As well as our own bespoke training created by our Training Department, we also offer recognised qualifications via established training providers. A selection of the training and development opportunities are outlined below.
E-LearningWe offer e-learning modules on a variety of subjects, especially focusing on the basic tools you will require in fulfilling your role and meeting legislation. A selection of the modules on offer includes, Customer Service, Health & Safety, Merchandising, Security Essentials, Food Hygiene and Think 21.
Scottish Vocational QualificationsThese qualifications focus on learning while on the job and integrating your skills and knowledge into the work place. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills and improve on established skills.
These vocational qualifications, offered where appropriate, are work related and competence based, and there is a catalogue of areas to choose from, for example, Customer Service, Information Technology, Retail Operations, Management and Occupational Health & Safety.
ServewiseServewise provides training about Licensing Laws, Food Hygiene and Delivering Customer Excellence. This is a recognised qualification that involves a day's training session with our Training Team, as well as the opportunity to meet with colleagues from other areas of the business.
Star ProgrammeOur Star Programme is a management development tool that will hone your business and people skills. This training is offered at management level and will assist in understanding the business and achieving business goals, as well as understanding and motivating your colleagues.
Way Ahead ProgrammeOur Way Ahead Programme is on offer for our new or refitted stores. This programme will assist you in developing the business, through understanding where the business started and its future.
This programme will help you to focus on delivering excellent customer care, which is a forefront of our business.
