Pension Plan
It's never too early to consider your future and the Society operates an attractive contributory
'final salary' Pension Plan, that also covers you for life insurance and a dependant's pension.
The Plan is contributory with both you and the Society making a contribution on your behalf, and it would be
available immediately following the commencement of employment with the society.
If you are paying the full cost of dental, optical or hospital bills you could benefit from the tax-free cash support towards these and other every day health costs. Cash paid towards your health costs enables you to take preventative measures, supporting the well being of you and your family. The benefits available include, but not limited to, cash towards physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, homeopathy and chiropody.
Free SharesThe Society values long service and commitment and all employees who have completed a full 12 months service, as at 31 January each year will receive free shares!
Childcare Voucher SchemeWe offer a childcare voucher scheme which gives employees the chance to receive part of their wages in vouchers. The vouchers are exempt from tax and National Insurance so employees can make real savings in their childcare costs. All staff can apply to join the scheme after 12 weeks service, although those earning close to minimum wage may find tax credits a better solution.
Employee Wellbeing ServiceWe offer a free independent and confidential helpline for employees and their family giving support on issues such as stress, family issues, financial or legal worries and workplace difficulties. Trained advisors at Retail Trust give independent advice on virtually any issue or problem. Personal Accident PlanEmployees can choose to take Personal accident cover for themselves and their family. This plan gives cash benefits and counselling if an accidental injury covered by the plan results in a permanent disability, loss of sight, paralysed limbs, death, treatment in hospital etc. The cover is 24/7 Worldwide.
Cancer CareEmployees can chose to take up cancer assist cover to give emotional and financial support for themselves and their family. There are different levels of cover that give cash payment on cancer diagnosis, monthly income for up to 12 months, cash payment toward surgery or hospital treatment.
