CTP awards
- Scotmid was awarded the Best Convenience Retailer at the 'him' Convenience Tracking Programme Awards in London on 4th May 2006. Awards are based on 30,000 customer interviews about the reliability and service in their local store.
- At the same award ceremony, Scotmid came in 2nd place for the Best Bread Retailer category and 3rd for Best Milk Retailer category.
Scottish Grocer Awards
These long-established awards are designed to recognise excellence and professionalism and across a number of key disciplines in Scotland's stores. Scotmid's Newtongrange store won Confectionery Retailer of the year in the 2006 awards.
At the same award ceremony Scotmid were awarded a highly commended certificate for the following areas:

- Highly Commended Neighbourhood Store - Pumpherston
- Highly Commended City Store
- Easter Road
- Lothian Road
